Prayer Request and Pastoral Care

If you have a prayer request, please call the church office at (705)738-5135 and we will pass your request through to our active Prayer Circle and Pastoral Care Teams.

Anniversary Service is Rev. Janet Stobie

Many of you may remember Janet as the minister at Dunsford United and as the author of several books. Janet has a new one, just published titled, “Rajah Finds His Wisdom.” Janet’s books will be available for purchase after the service this Sunday.

Children’s books:

Spectacular Stella, Elizabeth Gets Her Wings, A Place Called Home, and Rajah Finds His Wisdom.

These whimsical stories and their gentle illustrations will delight children and the young at heart. They are good faith resources for families and Sunday Schools.

Short Stories:

Breakthrough Moments, Can I Hold Him? /Christmas stories, A Child Speaks. These first-person accounts based on familiar bible stories bring a new perspective to the reader. They encourage you to apply the Bible’s wisdom to your daily life. The monologue format means dramatization is simple.

Novels:

The Catalpa Creek Series - Fireweed and To Begin Again.

These cozy mystery novels are based on United Church theology and offer hours of entertainment. Book clubs find they provide much opportunity for discussing today’s issues.

Worship Resource:

Dipping Your Toes in Small Group Devotions.

Written in response to the needs of lay people, this resource contains 44 full devotional worship services that include hymn choices, scripture, call to worship, reflection, prayers, and discussion questions. Clergy and lay find it easy to use when leading Sunday worship or small group devotions. It has been enthusiastically received in United Churches across Canada.
