Bill Dodwell
Bill passed away on Sunday, October 29th at Ross Memorial Hospital. Let us keep the Dodwell family and friends in our prayers as go through this difficult time of loss. More information will be coming forth as we receive it.

Calling all Bakers, we need your help!
We need people to make baked goods for our Christmas Bazaar, which is being held on Saturday, November 25th from 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon. If you are able to help out in this way, please call Karen Foote @ (289)686-8863. The baked goods can be dropped of on Friday, November 24th.

Ukulele Practice
The next Ukulele Practice will be held on Monday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. Happy practicing until then!
Are you a Knitter or Crocheter?
We need people to knit or crochet mitten, scarves, hats for our Mitten Tree. The items are distributed to our community here in Bobcaygeon and Lindsay to places like our public schools, Curve Lake, Boys & Girls Club, Ross Memorial Hospital, A Place Called Home etc. before Christmas. Please bring your knitting in by Friday, December 1st.

Make sure that when you leave the church that nothing blocks the fire door exits, as per the Fire Marshall regulations.
A Travelling Library …
with books about Truth and Reconciliation is in the Fellowship Room. Please have a look, borrow and read and return by November 26. There are children's books, novels, and teachings about relationships between indigenous and non-indigenous people. Some of the books include: The Inconvenient Indian; 21 Things You Didn't Know About the Indian Act; Keeper and Me; Embers and many more. It's a great opportunity.
THE CARILLON IS COMING!

Music Night at Providence

A PLACE CALLED HOME
The UCW are collecting items for “A Place Called Home”. The items they are looking for are toiletries, dinner plates, cereal bowls and forks. If you can help in this way, please let Lillian Partridge know or bring them into the church office after our Christmas Bazaar.

Did you know …
that both nursing homes (Case Manor & Pinecrest) are much more accessible these days! You no longer need to set-up appointments. I’m sure the residence would enjoy a visit! Since it is flue season, please call first to make sure they are not on lockdown.
News from the Knitting Group
The Knitting Group meet every second Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 2:00 o'clock at the home of Karin Kinsman. We knit Prayer Shawls adults and children who need comfort, peace, and love as they go through personal loss, sickness, and grief. For further information about the Knitting Group, please contact Gail Lewis at 705-738-1279 or the church office for Karin’s address if you wish to join them.

‘After Words’ … is a new Bereavement Support Program
in Bobcaygeon offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.

HEALING PATHWAY MINISTRY
@ Cambridge St. United Church in Lindsay
Phase 1 Training Course - Thursday, Nov. 30 and Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., both days. Healing Pathway has been an active ministry at Cambridge Street United Church since 2022. We invite anyone who has an interest in learning the basic concepts of hands-on healing within the Christian tradition to take the Phase 1 Training and become part of our team of practitioners, or start up a ministry at their community of faith.
THEOLOGY/THEOLOGIES: Anti-racism, Interfaith, Intercultural
Please join the Theology (and implementation) Conference being planned by the Anti-Racism, Interfaith, Intercultural Forum in our Region on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. This is a one day in person conference that is being held at Kingsview United Church, Oshawa from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Dr. Jennifer Janzen-Ball, Executive Minister for Theological Leadership, The United of Canada. The $15 payment for lunch is to be sent to Brian James by November 17th. Payment can be sent by e-transfer to bjames@united-church.ca, please make sure to include your name. The registration has been extended to Friday, November 17th.
