Hand Drumming

all you need is a heartbeat to join. On Monday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Next drumming time is Monday, May 6th. Drums and Friendship provided. Thank-you, Debbie

 

Come Out One and All!

Calling all those who love to sing or are musicians, to attend Choir practice on Wed., May 8th at 2:00 p.m.  If you play a musical instrument and would like to participate during Sunday’s Worship Service, please speak with Debra Northey.

 

Ukulele Practice

There will be a ukulele practice on Monday, May 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Happy practicing till then! Thank-you, Sue Pepper

 

Knitting & Crocheters!

Our Trinity Knitting Group next get together will be Wed., May 15th  at 2:00 p.m. and then every two weeks on a Wednesday.  Enjoy some pleasant socializing, a cup of tea with some sweets and of course a little knitting or crocheting. Please join us at Trinity United Church in the Fellowship Room!

 

Art Show by Catherine Junkin!

Raising funds for our new wheelchair accessible washroom here at Trinity. The Art show is taking place on Sat. May 4th from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Hope to see you there!

your used Solar Eclipse Glasses so that we can collect them and then Rev. Bob will send them off to another country to be used again.

 

Appreciation Luncheon for Trinity’s

Meat Pie Makers/Holy Rollers

A time of Fellowship & Lunch on Thursday, May 16th, Arrival @ 12 noon, Lunch served @ 12:30 in Trinity Hall.  We are looking forward to showing our Appreciation for all of the dedication and many hours spent preparing and making Trinity’s Meat Pies.

 

 

Spring Yard Clean-Up & Appreciation BBQ

Thursday, May 23rd @ 10 a.m., BBQ Lunch @ 12 Noon. Bring gloves, rake, trimmer and blower. Contact The Property Brothers - Armand or Jim if you are available to help!

 

Needed – 500 ml. Mason Jars

I am looking for 500 ml. Mason Jars for the chili sauce making in Aug./Sept.   If you are Spring cleaning and are not using your jars any longer, please put them on the counter in the Church kitchen and I will periodically pick them up.  Mark your calendars ladies as I have set the dates for making the chili sauce: August 29th, Sept. 3rd and Sept. 5th starting at 8:30 a.m.   Lots of chopping and good fellowship.  Thank-you, Olive Macoomb

Pre-authorized remittance is a method of giving that allows you to set up a monthly contribution that will continue to fund amazing work all year long. PAR is a way that your monthly gift to your community of faith, and to our larger work through Mission and Service, can be automatically withdrawn from your bank account to fund the ongoing work.

Yard Sale at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon

We are planning to have a yard sale here at Trinity on Saturday, June 8th from 9:00am till 1:00pm with all proceeds going towards the accessibility washroom fund.  If you have any gently used items you are not using anymore and would like to donate to the sale it would be appreciated.  (no clothing please).  All items will be collected here at the church the day before the sale Friday June 7th after 4:00 pm.  If you have any questions or would like to help on that day please speak to Cathy Bennett.  Thank you.

 

If you are 12 or older Join …

Cambridge United Church in Lindsay for a fun, inclusive and accepting pizza lunch on Sunday, May 5th at 12:30 p.m. Discover what you believe and why faith matters. Over the next year a select small group of youth will meet monthly on Sunday afternoons to participate in a variety of fun and challenging activities and be able to … Ask questions that matter, receive encouragement, discover what you believe and affirm your faith. Parents are also invited to stay. More information on the bulletin board across from the kitchen.

 

Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank

Our family numbers are still increasing with more children.

The following food items would be welcome:

Juice Packs, cereal, Kraft dinner, rice, canned fruit juice, canned vegetables, pasta sauce in jars, peanut butter, canned stews, canned tuna, meat, canned fruit. Our Food Bank box is located in the narthex, or you can drop off items at our grocery store boxes. Your help is greatly appreciated!

 

‘After Words’ … is a new Bereavement Support Program

in Bobcaygeon offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.

 

Yard + Bake + Plant Sale!

Taking place at Dunsford United Church, 1981 Sturgeon Rd. on Saturday, May 4th from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. rain or Shine.

 

Cambridge St. United Church Spring Rummage Sale

Join us for our Spring Rummage Sale on Saturday, May 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Are you ready for some fantastic finds? This sale promises something for everyone including clothing for men, women, and children, books, housewares, games and puzzles, and so much more. But that's not all! From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, it's our Bring-a-Bag-to-Fill event for just $2 or more (depending on the size of your bag), you can stuff it full of treasures from our sale. We can't wait to see you there!

 

SAVE THE DATE!

On Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. ET, a special Centennial launch service will take place at Metropolitan United Church, 56 Queen St E, Toronto, ON, near the location of the first General Council of the United Church in 1925. The service will be livestreamed at Westdale United Church, 1509 Sherbrooke St. West, Peterborough to begin celebrations for The United Church's 100th Anniversary!

Spring Concert with the Kawartha Male Chorus

Taking place on Saturday, May 11th at 2:30 p.m. @ St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.  Tickets are $20.00 for adults and children under 14 free. Special Music by Quin Lang, KMC Scholarship Winner. Available at the door or through email: kawarthamalechorus@gmail.com.
