We would like to thank Catherine Junkin for her art sales which was held here at Trinity on Saturday, May 4th. There was $326.00 raised for our new accessible washroom. A wonderful start for this fundraiser.

Also, thank-you to all those who helped with this successful event!

Donations for those displaced by the fire in Bobcaygeon

This is the last week where you may donate through your giving envelopes and mark it "Fire Relief" (as well as in the memo space on your cheque) and make the cheque out to "Trinity United Church" and then our Treasurer will take the total amount and send it to the "Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes", who will make sure it gets to those displaced by the fire. 

Providence UCW

Providence UCW is taking place on Thursday, May 23rd starting at 2:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. The guest speaker will be Byron Edney of the original Settlers Village! 


Spring Yard Clean-Up & Appreciation BBQ

Thursday, May 23rd @ 10 a.m., BBQ Lunch @ 12 Noon. Bring gloves, rake, trimmer and blower. Contact The Property Brothers - Armand or Jim if you are available to help!


Hand Drumming

all you need is a heartbeat to join. On Monday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Next drumming practice is Monday, May 27th. Drums and Friendship provided.

Ukulele Practice

Appreciation Luncheon for Trinity’s

Meat Pie Makers/Holy Rollers

A BIG THANK-YOU to all those who helped with the “Appreciation Luncheon” for our Trinity Meat Pie Makers/Holy Rollers, which took place this past Thursday, in Trinity Hall!


A Special Sunday with Rev. Bob

Sunday, June 2, 2024 is a special anniversary date for Rev. Bob who will celebrate 50 years as an Ordained Minister with the United Church of Canada!  During our church service that morning, Rev. Bob plans on sharing some special memories from his years as a Minister.  We are thrilled to be a part of his special day and invite everyone to a reception in Trinity Hall following the service!  


Yard Sale at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon

We are planning to have a yard sale here at Trinity on Saturday, June 8th from 9:00am till 1:00pm with all proceeds going towards the accessibility washroom fund.  If you have any gently used items you are not using anymore and would like to donate to the sale it would be appreciated.  (no clothing please).  All items will be collected here at the church the day before the sale Friday June 7th after 4:00 pm.  If you have any questions or would like to help on that day please speak to Cathy Bennett.  Thank you.


Help spread the word: May is PAR month!

Pre-authorized remittance is a method of giving that allows you to set up a monthly contribution that will continue to fund amazing work all year long. PAR is a way that your monthly gift to your community of faith, and to our larger work through Mission and Service, can be automatically withdrawn from your bank account to fund the ongoing work. For more information or to go onto PAR, please contact Cathy Bennett or the church office.


Concert at Trinity United Church “The Harp & Whistle”

An afternoon of Celtic Stories and Music!  With Tanah Haney, Edith Hawkins & Debra Northey. Taking place on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. right here at Trinity! Admission by donation. In support of building an accessible church washroom. Donations of $25.00 and up will get a tax receipt.



Knitting & Crocheting Group

Our Trinity Knitting & Crocheting Group will take a break for the summer and then return in the Fall to meet every other week on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. We will be meeting in the Fellowship Room at Trinity United Church to enjoy some pleasant socializing, a cup of tea and of course a little knitting or crocheting. See you in the Fall and all are welcome to attend!


Needed – 500 ml. Mason Jars

I am looking for 500 ml. Mason Jars for the chili sauce making in Aug./Sept.   If you are Spring cleaning and are not using your jars any longer, please put them on the counter in the Church kitchen and I will periodically pick them up.  Mark your calendars ladies as I have set the dates for making the chili sauce: August 29th, Sept. 3rd and Sept. 5th starting at 8:30 a.m.   Lots of chopping and good fellowship.

Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank

Our family numbers are still increasing with more children.

The following food items would be welcome:

Juice Packs, cereal, Kraft dinner, rice, canned fruit juice, canned vegetables, pasta sauce in jars, peanut butter, canned stews, canned tuna, meat, canned fruit. Our Food Bank box is located in the narthex, or you can drop off items at our grocery store boxes. Your help is greatly appreciated!


Welcome Summer BBQ

We also received notice that Knox Presbyterian Church here in Bobcaygeon.  They will be having a BBQ in their church parking lot this Saturday, May 18th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:.00 p.m. serving burgers, hot dogs, ships and drinks.  Donations will be gratefully accepted.


 ‘After Words’ … is a new Bereavement Support Program

in Bobcaygeon offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.
