Jo’s Celebration of Life
A huge thank you to Olive and Rick Macoomb, Iris and Rob Taylor and Cathy Bennett for their hard work and dedication with assisting to setting up Trinity Hall Friday evening, so that everything was ready for Saturday morning. Another big thank you to all the fabulous sandwich makers and bakers for always assisting with providing and donating your time and food donations in order to ensure the “Celebration of Life” was successful and included a variety of treats for everyone. Words can’t express my gratitude to the kitchen crew who are consistently there to assist whenever the need arises, Olive Macoomb, Barb Carnegie, Iris Taylor and Marg Telford. Thank you Juanita Murray and Cathy Bennett for pouring the coffee at the reception and to Anthony for manning the dishwasher to make the clean up easier and quicker. Thank you to everyone for assisting to ensure Jo’s Celebration of Life was a success! Karen Foote
A big THANK-YOU to…
Armand Hachey, Jim Telford and Anthony Aruna Jayalath for painting the window frames on Trinity Hall! Your time and talents are very much appreciated and it brought “life” back into our heritage building. Also, to Sandy Lakatos, who provided the pictures for our historic picture file.
A Note from the Treasurer
As of May 31, 2026, Trinity has a year-to-date shortfall of $26,454. This is an increase of $1,345 from April. The next report will be in October. Please remember that Church expenses continue during the summer even though you may take a holiday. If you donate using PAR, your donation will still be received even if you are physically absent.
UCW – Bobcaygeon & Providence - Update
The year-end luncheon for the UCW Bobcaygeon and Providence will be held on Thursday, June 18th at Wheatsheaf, 79 Bolton St. Bobcaygeon at 12:00 noon - CASH only. I hope all can attend, as we usually have an awesome time catching up with each other and enjoying a fabulous meal together. Let myself (Bobcaygeon) or Marion Mackenzie (Providence) know if you would like to come. Hope to see you there.
Faithfully, Kim Draper
Needed - 500 ml Mason Jars
I am still looking for about 100 jars for the upcoming chili sauce making. I require 500 ml Mason Jars for this. If I am unable to come up with more jars, I will have to purchase them, which will cut down on the profit for the Church. So perhaps hunt around or bug your neighbours if they might have some for this fundraiser.
Many thanks, Olive Macoomb
Heartbeats United - Spiritual Hand Drumming
As we drum, we join in one heart, in one heartbeat, To God's heartbeat. We lay our hands upon the drum just as we lay our pure trust in God's palm. All are Welcome Anytime you wish. Drums provided. Mondays at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Beginner Ukulele Classes
I am planning to start another beginner ukulele session in September. We have a ton of fun as we make music! The best way to contact me this summer is by email as we are often away (suejpepper@yahoo.ca), or you can leave your name and contact info. with Sue in the office. You will need your own ukulele. Be sure to get a soprano, tenor or concert ukulele (A baritone uke has different chord shapes). Talk to any member of Uke Troupe and find out how much fun we have!
Sue Pepper
We Need You!
Dave Mackay and Al Picken need help with the camera’s Sunday morning for livestreaming. If you can help out, we would really appreciate it! You may contact Sue in the church office.
ATTENTION CHAT GROUP!
Our "CHAT" group now meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Friendship Room. Only 3 of us turned up on May 12th, but we had over an hour of lively and insightful discussions about life, childhood, and more. If you'd like to chat about our world, your experiences, or life-changing events, come and join the conversation. Don't be shy...it's actually quite therapeutic at times!
LIBRARY
We have many new books and we have added puzzles! To borrow a book or a puzzle, take the card out of the book pocket, sign your name, add date and put the card in the white basket on the tea table in the Friendship Room. When you return the book, simply put the book in the white basket.
Thank-you, Sue Pepper
