to Olive and Rick Macoomb for organizing and picking-up supplies so these wonderful volunteer ladies could once again make these delicious meat pies for our Bazaar, taking place on Sat. November 22nd at 10:00 a.m. A great big THANK-YOU to all of our volunteers! You are greatly appreciated.

 

Fall Clean-up at Trinity

A BIG THANK-YOU to all of our volunteers who helped with Trinity’s yard clean-up, which took place on Tuesday, Oct. 14th. You are greatly appreciated for all you do!

 

A Special Need – Can you help?

One of the freezers in the Church is not working.  I am asking if anyone has a freezer that they could donate to replace the broken-down freezer.  The freezers are used to keep all the homemade beef & chicken pies frozen that are  to be sold at the Christmas Bazaar on November 22nd.  Please call me at 705 738-9984 or call Sue at the Church Office.  Thanks in advance.   Olive Macoomb

Sunday School has started up on Sunday’s, and will be taking place during the morning worship service.

 

Prayer Request and Pastoral Care

If you have a prayer request, please call the church office at (705)738-5135 and we will pass your request through to our active Prayer Circle which meet every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary for prayer and our Pastoral Care Team.

Need people to help with …

Heartbeats United - Spiritual Hand Drumming

As we drum, we join in one heart, in one heartbeat, To God's heartbeat. We lay our hands upon the drum just as we lay our pure trust in God's palm. All are Welcome Anytime you wish. Drums provided. Mondays at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

 

Uke Troupe …

will be meeting on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary from now on.

 

Calling all Choir members and those who love to sing…

Choir has started up again and practices will be on Thursdays, at 1:00 p.m. You are all invited to come out and join in!

 

ATTENTION CHAT GROUP!

Our "CHAT" group is now meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be on December 9th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Room.   Come and join the conversation.

Bobcaygeon UCW change in time

The new time for meeting will be from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., starting November 20th so that the choir members can attend.

BOBCAYGEON COMMUNITY REFUGEE BENEFIT CONCERT AT TRINITY UNITED CHURCH,

OCTOBER 25TH, 7:00 P.M.

Join us for a wonderful evening of music by well-known local band, Vintages. Featuring music from the 60’s rock to 90’s country. Admission by donation. Receipts will be issued for all donations $25.00 and over. Silent Auction. Refreshments following concert. CHRISTMAS BAZAAR AT TRINITY

Trinity and Providence Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. FREE ADMISSION! Trinity & Providence cookbook, home baking, Chili Sauce, Christmas Shop, Jewellery, Scarves, Purses, Loonie Auction and Frozen Beef, Chicken Pies!

 

Update on Bobcaygeon Helps Foodbank

Data from Food Bank Canada states that one in four Canadians are experiencing food insecurity. Ontario earned an F for food insecurity. Closer to home, Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank reported at our recent Board meeting that, between January and August 30th, our Food Bank served individuals in 236 households. The Food Bank is most grateful for the generous community support in food and cash donations--from individuals, groups and businesses. Trinity Providence United Church, we thank you for being a vital part of our Bobcaygeon Helps Foodbank.

Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank

Our family numbers are still increasing with more children. The following food items would be welcome: Juice Packs, cereal, Kraft dinner, rice, canned fruit juice, canned vegetables, pasta sauce in jars, peanut butter, canned stews, canned tuna, meat, canned fruit. Our Food Bank box is located in the narthex, or you can drop off items at our grocery store boxes. Your help is greatly appreciated!

 

SOLES 4 SOULS FOOTWEAR COLLECTION"

The Soles 4 Souls collection box is still in the Narthex; TUC's donations stand at 276 and the Project's overall total stands at 483 and getting closer to 500! We have more shoes to add to the total, from TUC and VP, which we'll add to the totals after we have checked them in at BioPed in Lindsay.  More are always welcome, and if you have lots and would like them picked up instead, just call David Savournin at 705-738-1892 to make arrangements. The Global Leadership Summit

will be held at Fair Havens Camp & Conference Centre (located in Beaverton) on Nov. 4th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Price is $179.00 and you can get more information at Fairhavens.org or phone 1-613-822-9994.

 

‘After Words’ … a Bereavement Support Program

in Bobcaygeon is offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.

 

The Boyd Museum presents a Gallery of Gifts

Taking place on Sat. November 8th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Boyd Museum located at 21 Canal St., Bobcaygeon. Come and support local artisans and crafters.  They need vendors and be contacted at (705)738-9482. (See bulletin board in the hall for more information.)

 

Bobcaygeon Diners Club – Come have lunch with us!

At Trinity United Church on the second Thursday of each month and the next one will be on Thursday, November 13th. The price is only $13.00 but you must register in advance by calling at (705)324-7323 ext. 654 or visit ccckl.ca to reserve your seat by Friday noon the week before. Put on by Community Care, City of Kawartha Lakes.

 

Bobcaygeon’s Mingle & Jingle at the Boyd Museum

Sheila’s Little Book Shoppe will be open for business from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15th. Located at 21 Canal St., Bobcaygeon. (See bulletin board for more information.)

Trinity and Providence
United Church

Together Trinity United and Providence United make up the Bobcaygeon-Providence Pastoral Charge. Trinity is located in the village of Bobcaygeon. Trinity's church service starts at 10:30 a.m.

 

Providence is located at the corner of Providence Rd. and County Road 8, just west of Bobcaygeon. Trinity is open all year while Providence holds services from June to September.
