A BIG THANK-YOU
Thank you to Liz and Bruce Cameron and to John Bick and Anthony Jayalath for volunteering to look after our coffee time on November 23rd and 30th. Thanks also to David and Dee Savournin for making coffee for the month of December. Your help is so appreciated. Advent Prayer Calendar for December 2025
The Advent Prayer Calendar is located on the Narthex table for you to pick-up. Place this calendar on your fridge and use a magnet to count down the days! Please join us in prayer each day. Each prayer prompt is based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (sdgs.un.org).

Prayer Request and Pastoral Care
If you have a prayer request, please call the church office at (705)738-5135 and we will pass your request through to our active Prayer Circle which meet every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary for prayer and our Pastoral Care Team.
Heartbeats United - Spiritual Hand Drumming
As we drum, we join in one heart, in one heartbeat, To God's heartbeat. We lay our hands upon the drum just as we lay our pure trust in God's palm. All are Welcome Anytime you wish. Drums provided. Mondays at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
ATTENTION CHAT GROUP!
Our "CHAT" group is now meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month, but the next meeting will be on November 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Room. Come and join the conversation.
BEGINNER UKULELE CLASS
I plan to start a beginner class for people wanting to learn how to play the ukulele, with the plan that they would join the Uke Troupe when ready. When I see if there is interest, the day and time will be determined. New players would need a ukulele, a tuner, and a music stand. (Good time of the year to add them to your Christmas list!) LIBRARY
The library is a work in progress. We have many new books and we have added puzzles! To borrow a book or a puzzle, take the card out of the book pocket, sign your name, add date and put the card in the white basket on the tea table in the Fellowship Room. When you return the book, simply put the book in the white basket.

“Blessings from the Kitchen”
Our Trinity and Providence Cookbook Team are thrilled to announce that copies of our cookbook, “Blessings from the Kitchen”, have arrived. Cookbooks are on sale for $20.00 each during the week from Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon in the church office. The cookbooks will also be for sale at the Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 22nd.
Bobcaygeon UCW Report – November 2025
Our road trip to Cannington on October 16th to see the Witness Blanket was truly an experience to remember. The church had many helpful volunteers guiding visitors through the display. Everything was well organized and thoughtfully arranged to allow plenty of space and time to appreciate the complexity and depth of the exhibit. Each person was able to take it in at their own pace — a meaningful and reflective experience for all.
Upcoming Events:
December 18th @ 12:00 noon – UCW Christmas Luncheon at Just for the Halibut. All women from Trinity and Providence are warmly invited to attend. Sign up Sheet in the front hall.
January 15th, 2026 @ 2:30–4:00 p.m. – Celebrating the New Year!
Providence UCW Road Trip…
will be taking place on Thursday, November 27th at 2:00 p.m. We will be visiting Elizabeth Peeters and see her amazing large Christmas display!
White Gift Sunday
On December 7th it will be White Gift Sunday. This is the Sunday that every food item brought in will be collected and given to the Bobcaygeon Food Bank. Their family numbers continue to increase with more children needing their support. The following food items would be welcome: Juice Packs, cereal, Kraft dinner, rice, canned fruit juice, canned vegetables, pasta sauce in jars, peanut butter, canned stews, canned tuna, meat, canned fruit. If you wish to make a donation instead and want to do it via a cheque, the cheque can be made out to Trinity United Church and in the memo line please put down “Bobcaygeon Food Bank”. The white gift envelopes will be given out the week before on November 30th.
“In the Mood for Christmas” at Trinity!
An afternoon of music and songs on Sunday, December 14th at 2:00 p.m. Refreshments and treats to follow! Donations in support of Trinity United Chruch’s work in our community.

Kawartha Women of Worship
Guest Speaker will be Margaret Gibb. “Christmas In Canada” The founder of Women Together will share the journey of her Ukrainian ancestors to Canada. Taking place on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at Trentside Baptist Church, 25 King Street Bobcaygeon. Come at 6:30 p.m. for a cup of tea.
Kawartha Male Chorus presents…
“Yesterday Once More” with special guest “Alumni Members”! Taking place on Saturday, December 6th at 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 40 William St. N. Lindsay. Freewill offering.
SOLES 4 SOULS FOOTWEAR COLLECTION"
TUC congregants have now donated 367 pairs of gently used footwear to Soles4Souls. Total collections from TUC and other sources now stand at 600 pairs. This is amazing! There is every chance that we'll get to 700 for the year, 200 more than our original goal. More are always welcome, and if you have lots and would like them picked up instead, just call David Savournin at 705-738-1892 to make arrangements. ‘After Words’ … a Bereavement Support Program
in Bobcaygeon is offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information.
Bobcaygeon Diners Club – Come have lunch with us!
At Trinity United Church on the second Thursday of each month and the next one will be on Thursday, December 11th. The price is only $13.00 but you must register in advance by calling at (705)324-7323 ext. 654 or visit ccckl.ca to reserve your seat by Friday noon the week before. Put on by Community Care, City of Kawartha Lakes.
