Jesse McGregor

Dianne McGregor’s grandson, passed away suddenly on Oct. 19th. His “Celebration of Life” will be taking place at Dunsford Community Centre on Nov. 23rd from 1- 4 p.m. More information may be found on the Mackey Funeral Home site. Let us keep the McGregor family in our prayers as they go through this difficult time of loss.

 

A HUGE THANK-YOU to …

all who helped making our yummy meat pies this past week. We also wish to thank Karen Foote for her tasty baking for our coffee breaks. You will be able to purchase the meat pies at our Annual Christmas Bazaar. 

 

Hand Drumming

all you need is a heartbeat to join. On Monday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Next drumming practice is Monday, November 11th. Drums and Friendship provided. Thank-you, Debbie

 

Uke Troupe – Ukulele Practise

The next practice we will be having at Trinity will be on Monday, November 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Happy practicing until then!

 

Come and Join Us!

Our "CHAT" group meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be on Nov. 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Room and the topic will be “What prayer have you had answered recently". Come and join us for the festivities!

 

Knitting & Crocheting Group

Our Trinity Knitting & Crocheting Group We will be meeting in the Fellowship Room at Trinity United Church to enjoy some pleasant socializing, a cup of tea and of course a little knitting or crocheting. Our next meeting will be taking place on Tuesday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m.  Please contact Gail Lewis if you have any questions. All welcome to attend!

 

The next Trinity United Church - Women’s Group Meeting …

is to be held November 21, 2024 @ 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. All Women are Welcome!

 

 Providence UCW

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, November 28th at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Hall. You are invited to join us for discussions and light refreshments!

 

The Worship Committee…

feels it is important to re-establish the capacity to offer Sunday School to our congregation and church visitors.

We are searching for a minimum of four volunteers willing to lead Sunday School one week per month on a rotating basis. We currently have one. If you would be able to assist in this capacity or know of someone who would be interested, please contact either Barb Carnegie (705-738-0116) or Liz Cameron (705-738-7178) for further information.

Our Annual Christmas Bazaar needs your help

There is a box on the windowsill in the narthex to receive your treasures: jewelry (please be sure that earrings are matched, either taped to a cardboard square or in a little baggie), scarves, and purses. We are not having the boutique table this year, but the accessory table is always popular, so look through your treasures and see what you can find! Sue Pepper

 

Calling on all Bakers!

With our Christmas Bazaar coming up on November 23rd, we are in need of your special talent in creating some delicious baked goods to sell for that day! Please contact Karen Foote at 289-686-8863 if you can help out in this way.  Your baked goods would be very much appreciated!

Prayer Request and Pastoral Care

If you have a prayer request, please call the church office at (705)738-5135 and we will pass your request through to our active Prayer Circle which meet every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary for prayer and our Pastoral Care Team.

 

Bobcaygeon Diners Club – Come have lunch with us!

At Trinity United Church on the second Thursday of each month and the next one will be on Thursday, November 14th. The price is only $12.00 but you must register in advance by calling at (705)324-7323 ext. 654 or visit ccckl.ca to reserve your seat by Friday noon the week before. Put on by Community Care, City of Kawartha Lakes.

 

Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank

Our family numbers are still increasing with more children.

The following food items would be welcome: Juice Packs, cereal, Kraft dinner, rice, canned fruit juice, canned vegetables, pasta sauce in jars, peanut butter, canned stews, canned tuna, meat, canned fruit. Our Food Bank box is located in the narthex, or you can drop off items at our grocery store boxes. Your help is greatly appreciated!

 

‘After Words’ … is a new Bereavement Support Program

in Bobcaygeon offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.
