Still needed are 500 ml Mason Jars…

for the upcoming chili sauce making which is scheduled for Thursday, August 31st and Tuesday, September 5th. Thanks to everyone who have donated jars so far. I have 100 jars and still require another 80 jars. Please put them in the Church kitchen and I will periodically pick them up. Many thanks. Olive Macoomb

Dear Friends,

After much discussion and prayer, Beth Halliday and I are closing the Healing Ministry. We have been so blessed by the support and love of our congregation, allowing us to use the sanctuary each Wednesday to offer this natural healing system called Reiki. We have emptied the cupboards that have been designated for storage of our tables, linen, etc. We plan to sell our equipment and donate the money to Trinity in thanks for all the support over the years. Carol Wells-Gordon

News from the Knitting Group

The Knitting Group meet every second Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at the home of Karin Kinsman. We knit Prayer Shawls adults and children who need comfort, peace, and love as they go through personal loss, sickness, and grief. For further information about the Knitting Group, please contact Gail Lewis at 705-738-1279 or the church office for Karin’s address if you wish to join them.

Special Sunday’s Coming up at Trinity …

Sunday, June 4, we are welcoming new members on! If you would like to transfer your membership or make a profession of faith, please call Sue in the Church office at 738-5135.

Sunday, May 28 - following worship, please stay for coffee and an opportunity to support sisters and brothers in the Mohawk nation at Kanasetake as they celebrate the launch of the Bible in the Mohawk language. During worship, we will learn about this good work, and at coffee, those who wish will be able to make a monetary contribution towards the celebration. If you wish a tax credit, please include your envelope number. Sunday, May 28, 2023 it is Pentecost Sunday - please wear RED to worship!

Did you know …

that both nursing homes (Case Manor & Pinecrest) are much more accessible these days! You no longer need to set-up appointments, but you will still need to wear a mask while inside. I’m sure the residence would enjoy a visit!

Are you a Knitter or Crocheter?

We need people to knit or crochet mitten, scarves, hats for our Mitten Tree. The items are distributed to our community here in Bobcagyeon and Lindsay to places like our public schools, Curve Lake, Boys & Girls Club, Ross Memorial Hospital, A Place Called Home etc. before Christmas.

Ukulele Group at Trinity

I would like to start a ukulele group at Trinity. It is an easy instrument to learn and I guarantee that after one lesson you will be able to play a couple of songs, and we will build from there. The ukulele is an

instrument that is recommended for seniors wanting to learn an instrument, even without being able read music! They are relatively cheap to buy…. from $99. Of course, you can always pay more! You

would also want a tuner which costs about $20. For more information, call Sue Pepper @ 705-738-9633 or email me at suejpepper@yahoo.ca.

An Evening of Sacred Music on May 27th @ 7:00 p.m. …

at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Lindsay featuring Alex Ripley, Organist and Sally Rogers, Vocalist. Freewill offering to support “A Place Called Home”. See bulletin board for more info.

Registration deadline is Friday, May 12, 2023 by contacting the church office @ 705-324-03547 or csuc61@gmail.com. (See bulletin board by kitchen.)
