A “Celebration of Life” for Steve Oliver…
will be taking place here at Trinity United Church on Tuesday, May 28th at 12:00 noon. After the service, there will a reception. Visitation will be held at Hendren’s Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Let us keep Karen and the Oliver family in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time of loss.

U.C.W. “Bakeless Bake Sale”
Last week in your bulletin you received an envelope for a fundraiser for Trinity and Providence’s UCW “No Bake” Sale. The UCW is trying to raise some money for various worthy causes. Instead of selling baking, they will save you the calories and all the guilt! For what you would pay to make it or bake it, just send a few bucks or a cheque made out to “Trinity United Church” and in the memo line write in “Bakeless Bake Sale”. Income Tax Receipts will be given for donations over $20.00. Please put your envelope number or name on your envelope and return it by May 31, 2024.

Calling all those who love to sing or are musicians, to attend Choir practice not until Wed., May 29 at 2:00 p.m. If you play a musical instrument and would like to participate during Sunday’s Worship Service, please speak with Debra Northey.
A Special Sunday with Rev. Bob
Sunday, June 2, 2024 is a special anniversary date for Rev. Bob who will celebrate 50 years as an Ordained Minister with the United Church of Canada! During our church service that morning, Rev. Bob plans on sharing some special memories from his years as a Minister. We are thrilled to be a part of his special day and invite everyone to a reception in Trinity Hall following the service!
Yard Sale at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon
We are planning to have a yard sale here at Trinity on Saturday, June 8th from 9:00am till 1:00pm with all proceeds going towards the accessibility washroom fund. If you have any gently used items you are not using anymore and would like to donate to the sale it would be appreciated. (no clothing please). All items will be collected here at the church the day before the sale Friday June 7th after 4:00 pm. If you have any questions or would like to help on that day please speak to Cathy Bennett. Concert at Trinity United Church “The Harp & Whistle”
An afternoon of Celtic Stories and Music! With Tanah Haney, Edith Hawkins & Debra Northey. Taking place on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. right here at Trinity! Admission by donation. In support of building an accessible church washroom. Donations of $25.00 and up will get a tax receipt.

Knitting & Crocheting Group
Our Trinity Knitting & Crocheting Group will take a break for the summer and then return in the Fall to meet every other week on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. We will be meeting in the Fellowship Room at Trinity United Church to enjoy some pleasant socializing, a cup of tea and of course a little knitting or crocheting. See you in the Fall and all are welcome to attend!
Needed – 500 ml. Mason Jars
I am looking for 500 ml. Mason Jars for the chili sauce making in Aug./Sept. If you are Spring cleaning and are not using your jars any longer, please put them on the counter in the Church kitchen and I will periodically pick them up. Mark your calendars ladies as I have set the dates for making the chili sauce: August 29th, Sept. 3rd and Sept. 5th starting at 8:30 a.m. Lots of chopping and good fellowship.

Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank
Our family numbers are still increasing with more children.
The following food items would be welcome:
Juice Packs, cereal, Kraft dinner, rice, canned fruit juice, canned vegetables, pasta sauce in jars, peanut butter, canned stews, canned tuna, meat, canned fruit. Our Food Bank box is located in the narthex, or you can drop off items at our grocery store boxes. Your help is greatly appreciated!
‘After Words’ … is a new Bereavement Support Program
in Bobcaygeon offered by Kawartha Lakes Hospice. The group meets every first and third Tuesday in the month from 2:00 – 3:.00 p.m. at Trinity United Church, Bobcaygeon in the Fellowship Room. Please call Janice Craig, Hospice Bereavement Co-ordinator at 705-324-7323 x 553 for more information. Also, there is a poster with more information on Trinity’s bulletin board in the back hall.
