Financial Update:

November was a good month financially as we had a surplus of $3,103.  This was primarily due to the special contributions for the Centennial Appeal, Anniversary Sunday and the annual contribution from Providence.  The year-to-date shortfall is now $15,250.

A HUGE THANK-YOU TO …

everyone who helped out in any and all ways with our “In the Mood for Christmas” concert. Your help was greatly appreciated. The concert was very successful with 160 people in attendance! A special thank- you to Debra Northey, who organized and inspired others for “In the Mood for Christmas.  The event raised $1,235.00 for Trinity.

Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank

is very grateful for the many donations of Food and Money that were made at our White Gift Service on Sunday, December 7! Your continued support is highly appreciated. In Bobcaygeon this Christmas, there will be fewer Mother Hubbarts finding bare cupboards🤩.  Juanita Murray, Trinity Representative

If you have a prayer request, please call the church office at (705)738-5135 and we will pass your request through to our active Prayer Circle which meet every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary for prayer and our Pastoral Care Team.

Heartbeats United - Spiritual Hand Drumming

As we drum, we join in one heart, in one heartbeat, To God's heartbeat. We lay our hands upon the drum just as we lay our pure trust in God's palm. All are Welcome Anytime you wish. Drums provided. Mondays at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Choir Practice – Calling on those who love to sing!

Practices are held on Thursday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. You are all invited to come on out and join in! Looking forward to seeing you.

BEGINNER UKULELE CLASS

I plan to start a beginner class for people wanting to learn how to play the ukulele, with the plan that they would join the Uke Troupe when ready. When I see if there is interest, the day and time will be determined. New players would need a ukulele, a tuner, and a music stand. (Good time of the year to add them to your Christmas list!) Contact me by email (suejpepper@yahoo.ca) if you are interested or have questions.

Thank-you, Sue Pepper

Uke Troupe …

The Uke Troupe will be meeting every Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Next Uke troupe practice is Wed., January 7 at 7 p.m.

ATTENTION CHAT GROUP!

Our "CHAT" group is now meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Room.   Come and join the conversation.

LIBRARY

The library is a work in progress. We have many new books and we have added puzzles! To borrow a book or a puzzle, take the card out of the book pocket, sign your name, add date and put the card in the white basket on the tea table in the Fellowship Room. When you return the book, simply put the book in the white basket.

Thank-you, Sue Pepper

“Blessings from the Kitchen”

Our Trinity and Providence Cookbook Team are thrilled to announce that copies of our cookbook, “Blessings from the Kitchen”, have arrived. Cookbooks are on sale for $20.00 each during the week from Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon in the church office.

A message for all Committee Chairpersons

It will be “that time of the month” again come January, therefore, if you will be away in January, please get your Annual Report in for our Annual General Meeting as well as, the United Church head office will need those reports as well.

Thank-you, Sue Zilke Ward

Bobcaygeon UCW Report – November 2025

Our road trip to Cannington on October 16th to see the Witness Blanket was truly an experience to remember. The church had many helpful volunteers guiding visitors through the display. Everything was well organized and thoughtfully arranged to allow plenty of space and time to appreciate the complexity and depth of the exhibit. Each person was able to take it in at their own pace — a meaningful and reflective experience for all.

  Upcoming Events:

  • January 15th, 2026 @ 2:30–4:00 p.m. – Celebrating the New Year!

SOLES 4 SOULS FOOTWEAR COLLECTION"

TUC congregants have now donated 367 pairs of gently used footwear to Soles4Souls. Total collections from TUC and other sources now stand at 600 pairs. This is amazing! There is every chance that we'll get to 700 for the year, 200 more than our original goal. More are always welcome, and if you have lots and would like them picked up instead, just call David Savournin at 705-738-1892 to make arrangements. More information about this initiative can be found at https://soles4soulscanada.org/.
