 THANK-YOU TRINITY

Thank you, Trinity, for sharing my recent journey. On March 19 in Portugal I fell and broke my right hip. I received excellent care at the local small hospital, at the Peterborough Hospital Rehab and now at home with Juanita--assisted by family members at every stage. I appreciate each visit, card, email and phone call I receive. While on the operating table I pictured my family, friends and you Trinity members having communion. Some Sunday soon I will come in with a staff and sit among you, listen to Bob's off-beat jokes and right-on wisdom, and be lifted in spirit by the stories, music and prayers.  I am not alone. Thanks be to you thoughtful Trinity people.  And thanks be to the loving Creator of us all. Walter Murray

SOLES 4 SOULS FOOTWEAR COLLECTION

Here is a chance to part with your 'gently used' footwear. A Soles 4 Souls collection box is in the narthex and if you have any gently used footwear items you would like to see go to an appreciative recipient(s) somewhere else in the world, please drop them off. If you have lots and would like them picked up instead, just call David Savournin at 705-738-1892 to make arrangements. (FYI…David and his group collected over 300 pairs of footwear in 2024 and are aiming for 500 in 2025!)

More information about this initiative can be found at https://soles4soulscanada.org/. A quick update on shoes... Another 81 pairs of 'gently used' footwear were delivered to BioPed in Lindsay this morning. That brings the TUC total to 117 so far! This is truly amazing. The team at BioPed were shocked by the number of shoes we've been able to collect in such a short time. We assured them that there are more to come!

Creating A Trinity and Providence Cookbook Project

A committee has been formed to create a Trinity and Providence Cookbook featuring treasured recipes from people in our church family.  We welcome recipes from everyone – women, men, teens and children!  Submit as many personal, favourite recipes as you wish and, if possible, include special anecdotes and notes.  A recipe collection box is available in the church office during the week and in the Narthex on Sunday mornings.  If you wish, recipes can be emailed to Sue in the church office.  Please submit your recipes as soon as possible as the committee members are ready to begin working!  We also welcome suggestions for the Title of our Cookbook.  If you have any questions, please speak to any of our committee members - Jayne Martin, Kim Draper, Jan Carson, Dee Savournin, Olive Macoomb, Karen Foote, Susan Hachey and Connie Picken.  The Cookbook will be on sale in the fall.  Thank you for contributing to this fantastic project!
